Bethlehem – On the occasion of International Youth Day, SFI, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, organized a networking activity as part of the Youth Incubator Project, In cooperation with youth institutions and groups, and representatives of the two National Councils in Bethlehem and Hebron
The activity began with an introductory tour to several Palestinian museums in Bethlehem, including the Salesian Museum and the Palestine Museum of Natural History, aimed at strengthening young people’s connection to Palestinian cultural and historical heritage and highlighting the importance of preserving it for future generations.
As part of the event, a seminar titled “Palestinian Heritage… The Memory and Roots of Youth” was held in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, featuring Ms. Maha Yousef, Director of the Ministry of Culture in Bethlehem; Mr. Ahmad Sukkar, Chairman of SFI; Mr. Maher Qanawati, Mayor of Bethlehem; and Mr. Fadi Sand from the Artas Folklore Center.
Speakers emphasized the importance of heritage as a core part of Palestinian national identity, and the role of youth in protecting this legacy from extinction. They also stressed the need to activate youth initiatives that help preserve cultural heritage and promote it globally.
The event brought together members and volunteers of the Youth Incubator, providing a space for networking, exchanging ideas and experiences, and strengthening cooperation between youth and cultural and community institutions.
This activity is part of the Youth Incubator Project implemented by SFI in partnership with Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), which aims to empower Palestinian youth and engage them in national and cultural activities that foster belonging and deepen their knowledge of their history and identity.
